Can You Take Xanax With Citalopram Taking Amitriptyline And Citalopram (Celexa) At The Same Time?

Taking Amitriptyline and Citalopram (Celexa) at the same time? - can you take xanax with citalopram

My girlfriend is sleeping citalopram, amitriptyline, and my doctor perscribed (does not work ..), but my doctor told me if it does not take amitriptyline with citalopram. We asked ourselves why, and what if they did. I know that both are anti-depressants, so want to know exactly what will happen. I also wanted to know what will happen if it with Xanax, but the other question is more important.

The literature of the drugs the FDA requires that print Celexa found that includes the use of Celexia including TCA (amitriptyline), this category should be undertaken with caution.

There are several reasons for this, and only mention a few:

Administered, the only evidence of drug interactions between other Celexia TCA from a single dose, to see if it affects the blood levels of Celexia. It may take several weeks to take both drugs together have to be fully aware of all the effects of changes in blood levels of these two drugs.

There is no reason to combat drugs with common objectives, such as antidepressants is prescibe (since the main purpose of amitriptyline to treat depression, while promoting the effects of sleepiness at a particular time of their use to induce sleep)

There is additive effects of possible side effects of dry mouth, sexual and psychological function odd that no useful purpose.

If it is a rare disease that were not to know the doctor who developed that drugs that cause or if he is a drug interaction or other. It is mAgos occupational physician is more difficult to determine what to do.

Moreover, in some people, amitriptyline, heart problems (a good reason to keep the container and) the hands of children and with a protective cap.
