I did a quick search and found the driver here:

do not know if it is a universal driver that work after the brand / model of your cable and from there

I have a USB-serial adapter and Windows XP installed the drivers automatically provided even without the hard drive

I want to get in touch, and if not install the drivers go to Device Manager in the system, click Control Panel RT in the yellow exclamation point and click update and search the web for a driver. If there are no yellow exclamation mark and the device is present, means that the installation process. If you provide us the brand and operating system you may be able to find the driver for you

You can try a driver automatic update utility. It will analyze your system and identify each device. Then search and download the appropriate drivers for your devices. I'm using: http://www.pcdriverupdate.com and saved me a lot of time and frustration. Download the analysis and see if you find what you need.

Good luck and I hope that helps.
